最近のニュースを見ていて、つくづく思うことは、間違うってことは苦労・苦しみなんだなーということです。間違いにも色々ありますが、いずれにしても苦労や苦しみを伴う場合が多いような気がします。ですから、正しいことをするに越したことはないということです。まあ、当たり前のことなのですが。間違って苦労し苦しむのなら、正しいことをして楽である方が断然良い訳です。しかし、人は間違いたくもないのに間違ってしまうものです。ですから、この世は苦労や苦しみに溢れています。お釈迦さまは、生きることは苦であると言われました。だから仏教は、苦しまないようになるための教えを説いています。八正道という教えがありますが、今まではやけに正しいということを強調しているなーと感じていました。が今回、間違うことは苦労・苦しみだなーと思い至ったことから、そ...間違うことは、苦労・苦しみである。Makingmistakesispainandsuffering.

悪は、自滅・破滅の力である。Evil is the power of self-destruction and destruction.

最近よく考えてしまうことは、悪とは自滅、破滅する力だなーということです。どんなに地位や名誉のある人でも、悪いことをすれば自滅してしまうからです。それほどに強力な自滅、破滅の力なんだなーと、最近のニュースを見ていてつくづく思いました。悪とは、他人を破滅させるだけでなく、自分自身をも破滅・自滅させる力なのだと改めて再認識しました。そんな悪行を行ってしまう人たちは、自滅して後の人生で苦労し苦しんでしまうでしょう。それは、自業自得、因果応報ですが、なんと哀れなのだろうとも思いました。自らの悪によって、自らが苦労、苦しみの地獄世界を生み出して溺れ苦しんでしまう。こんなことを繰り返していては、まさに生き地獄です。自らがそうならないようになるために、するために私たちは生まれてきたのです。人は、そんな自分自身を自ら救い出すため...悪は、自滅・破滅の力である。Evilisthepowerofself-destructionanddestruction.
