8日目 ホテル出発は、早朝4時半。 ロンシェストンの空港で、チェックインの後に、朝食のサンドイッチを食べる。 メルボルンで、成田行きの飛行機に乗り換え、1/22の17時45分帰国しました。 なんと、成田空港は、雪で真っ白、成田〜潮来の高速道路は閉鎖、遠回りして、常磐高速入口に、しかし、ノーマルタイヤの車は、ダメと言われ、6号国道に出て、やっと、翌朝の3時半に、我が家に無事到着しました。疲れました。

6日目 晴れ 25℃ 今日は、クレイドルマウンテン眺望のダブ湖一周ハイキングです。 6km、3時間のコースを、新鮮な空気に包まれ、豊かな植生や滝を見ながら、のんびり歩きました。 一回りして、ダブ湖のほとりで、昼食。泳いでいる若者もいました。

寒中の花

毎日寒いですね。寒いとなにもせずに過ごしてしまいそうです。 ニュースを見ると、北陸や他の地方では、大雪で大変ですね。でも東関東地方では、雪は降らないので、うれしいです。 わが家の居間に鎮座しているのは、昨年末に頂いた深紅のシクラメン。 それと、新鮮さを保つために、水を入れた水盤に自家栽培の白菜です。 花壇の外に高砂ユリが咲いているのを発見。この寒さに、良く咲いたものですね。

むらさきキャベツ

むらさきキャベツを1個 収穫しました。 畑には、小ぶりな物がもう2個あります。 マリネ、炒める、蒸す、ゆでる、サラダ、お好み焼き等色々料理してみました。 出来立ては、彩りも良く おいしくできました。 しかし、時間が経つと、紫色や青色の汁が出て、見た目は、いまいちです。 アントシアニンたっぷりの食材を上手に料理したいです。

公園の花々

久し振りに、近くの丘にある公園まで、散歩しました。 丘からきれいなインジゴブルーの海原、青空に白い雲が浮かんで素晴らしい景色でした。 頂上に行く小道沿いに、やぶ椿がたくさん咲いていました。 また、頂上付近にある緋寒桜は、満開でした。 花壇には、色とりどりのスミレ、パンジー、葉ボタンなどが咲き乱れていました。 ” 春が来た 春が来た ”

夏ミカンを一週間前から、毎日食べています。 少し酸っぱいですが、とてもジューシーで美味しいです 30個以上の実が成っているので、一か月以上食べられます。 この木は10年以上前に、温州ミカンの苗木を植木市で求め、植えたつもりでしたが、夏ミカンでした。 6年前に、初めて実を付けましが、食べ時を知りませんでした。 3.11の大地震の後、小鳥が夏ミカンの実を突いているのを見て、食べ時だとわかりました。 あの…

初日の出

今年の初日の出、御来光の鑑賞と墓参りを兼ねて高台にある公園墓地に行きました。 水平線上部は雲が厚く、予定の日の出の時刻を10分程過ぎてから、お出ましになりました。 それなりに、きれいな御来光へ家族の健康を願いました。 高台への道路上と公園墓地へのアクセス道路は車と人、人で混雑していました。 昨年も混んでいましたが、これ程では無かった気がします。

九州の姉から宮崎県の大きい脂ののったブリが送られてきました。 久し振りに、出刃をだして、荒巻鮭のイメージで切り身にしてしまいました。 切り終わってから、とても新鮮で、魚の臭みが全くしない事に気づき、 これは、刺身で食べることが出来ると、切り身の皮をはがし,刺身に。 翌日の昼食には、刺身の残りと更にさしみをつくり、漬け丼にしました。 カマ等は塩焼きに、他は、ブリ大根と照り焼きにしました。 料理法が…

先日、お茶事の干菓子として、干し柿を作りました。 富有柿を一口サイズにカットして、ネットに入れて、 3日ほど干すと干し柿ができあがりました。 3日しか干していないのに、お味は、まちがいなく干し柿でした。 べたつかないので、手でとりやすかったです。
